Female-owned and US-based, American Holtzkraft has been elevating the ingenuity and quality of site furnishings since we began operations in 1985. We utilize local artisans from the Pennsylvania Dutch community as well as the hardy Northern Ash timber grown in the area. Northern Ash hardwoods are the hardest of the hardwood trees that grow in the United States. We slowly dry the timber with a kiln, seal it with multiple layers of sealant, and finish it in the shade of your choice. If you prefer a different type of wood, we also offer Western Cedar and Plantation-Grown Teak. The wooden pole is also protected by an aluminum flush pole guard to mitigate the swelling that can happen with wood.

We match the quality of the wooden frame with an equally strong canopy. The textiles are durable and UV resistant, and we attach the canopy to the frame with solid brass and stainless steel hardware, all sealed with marine-grade protectants and put together in such a way that prevents damage due to regular use.

One of the most important decisions you’ll make when buying site furnishings is the choice of size of market umbrellas. Remember, market umbrella sizes indicate the width, measured from rib tip to opposite rib tip – not height.
